We believe that every believer is called by God to a specific place, to a specific people, at a specific time, with a specific passion to carry out their gifted calling. As people join Southside they are encouraged to discover their gifts and calling. If their gifting and passion connects to an established ministry within the church, we ask that they join that team. If we do not currently have their ministry passion in action, we ask that they give us the opportunity to support them in establishing their ministry. Our Adult Ministry maintains a focus on one-on-one discipleship and evangelism. All believers are encouraged to find their level of appropriate involvement in these two basic pillars of Christian living.
Operation Multiplication
Provides the new believer with the personal one-on-one assistance needed for them to comfortably enter into the life of the church. This ministry also provides an opportunity for many seasoned believers to develop a precise means of being involved in helping a new believer grow.
Adult Ministry
Helping people to quickly become a relational part of the church is of utmost importance. Southside wants to be defined as a church of deep friendships. To assist in this process, opportunities are provided for new members to be joined in fellowship with current members. Initially they will meet on a regular basis, in a relaxed setting, in order to establish friendships and clarify the heart of the church. Opportunities for small group Bible study, as well as special meetings for men’s groups and women’s groups to fellowship are available. There are also special family oriented gatherings to increase personal relationships.
W.I.R.E.D. Youth
We are encouraged to have a team of leaders who share the strongest commitment to guiding teens to become faithful followers of Jesus Christ. Using a strong Bible emphasis, as well as fun activities, students are learning to develop genuine caring relationships. They are ready to welcome new youth to be an active part with them.
