1. God knows everything.<\/p>\n
2. We don\u2019t know everything!<\/p>\n
3. God always has our best interest in mind and is working things out for our good.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, we looked at the first principle.<\/p>\n
1. God knows everything.<\/p>\n
Now, we look at the second principle\u2026<\/p>\n
2. We don\u2019t know everything!<\/p>\n
We all know a lot about somethings, but not a lot about many things. Some in our church know virtually everything about building a house, or painting, or electrical wiring, or engineering, or computers, or proper chemicals for cleaning, or how to style hair, or how to run machinery, or how to cook a delicious meal, or the Bible. (Sorry if I left someone out.)<\/p>\n
But, none of these know much about what the others know much about.<\/p>\n
Now, you know and I know that we don\u2019t know everything. But, we like to think we do, especially about our future. As I\u2019m writing this, I\u2019m struggling with what most likely is the onset of the COVID virus. I think I\u2019ll be fine, but I don\u2019t know for sure.<\/p>\n
Paul sheds light on our plight when he wrote\u2026 \u201cFor now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.\u201d (1 Corinthians 13:12)<\/p>\n
We would go a long way in living out these four principles if we just admit we don\u2019t know. I\u2019m so thankful that Thomas could admit he didn\u2019t know. If he had not admitted he didn\u2019t know, we might not have one of the most important things Jesus ever said.<\/p>\n
John 14:5\u20136 (ESV)<\/p>\n
5 Thomas said to him, \u201cLord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?\u201d 6 Jesus said to him, \u201cI am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.<\/p>\n
Let me make this simple. Jesus said, you don\u2019t have to know the way. You need to know the one who knows the way. And that lead us to the next principle.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
